OUR MISSION

The Mission of the Palmetto Ridge Orchestra & Choir program is to cultivate an equitable and diverse learning experience designed to enrich our students' lives musically and socially. This Mission is realized through DEDICATION to improving ourselves musically and socially, striving for EXCELLENCE in all of our goals, working as a FAMILY, and striving to INSPIRE not only each other but all who come across our program.

WHAT WE DO

• Learn and Play Music - Each year, we host four to five concerts, where each of the ensembles will play multiple pieces, including one played by the entire Orchestra & one played by the entire Choir.
  

• Travel - Orchestra & Choir also allows students to perform outside of school. From performing for other schools to performing at competitions, Orchestra & Choir expands into the community. Being a member of the Orchestra & Choir allows you the opportunity to travel with the program to various locations around the state and country such as Disney World, New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles.
  

• Socialize - The Orchestra & Choir hosts yearly get togethers to hang out and spend time with each other. Events included our Winter Holiday Party and our End-of-Year Beach Trip. Events are created by the programs Social Chairs and suggestions are always welcomed from students in the program!
  

• Reflect - After the last concert, Orchestra & Choir hosts a banquet for all of the members, where awards are given, seniors are sent off, and the year is celebrated. During the last few weeks of school, students have an active role in shaping the coming year through suggestions and votes.
