




Joseph Bigler, Director of Orchestra & Choir
Mr. Bigler is in his ninth year of teaching and seventh year as Director of Orchestra & Choir at Palmetto Ridge High School. He directs the Chamber Orchestra, Concert Orchestra, Concert Choir, and Treble Choir. Additionally, he teaches guitar classes and ACCESS Music at Palmetto Ridge High School. He also works as a freelance Visual Tech for Marching Bands across Florida.
Mr. Bigler holds a Bachelor of Music Education in Instrumental Music from Stetson University. He has taught all aspects of music education, from elementary general music to high school marching bands, with his current focus on Orchestral and Choral Music education.
Outside of his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Bigler serves as the Florida Orchestra Association (FOA) District 18 Chair and as a member of the FOA Mentoring Committee. His responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating music performance assessments (MPA) and mentoring, supporting, and representing the voices of District 18 members at the state level.
In his free time, Mr. Bigler enjoys visiting Walt Disney World Resort, watching sports, and spending quality time with his girlfriend, Kate, and her wonderful children.
